Self-hosted GitHub MCP server wird lokal ausgeführt, und zwar aus einem MCP Bundle, also einem einzelnen herunterladbaren Archiv mit einem lokalen Server und einem Manifest, das ihn beschreibt: https://github.com/adelaidasofia/github-mcp/releases/download/v0.1.0/github-mcp.mcpb, Version 0.1.0. Der Server spricht MCP über stdio: Der Client startet ihn als Programm und kommuniziert mit ihm über Standardein- und -ausgabe. Benötigt wird ein Client, der MCP Bundles installiert; die Datei wird in diesem Client geöffnet oder ihm hinzugefügt. Der Server liest die Umgebungsvariable GITHUB_TOKEN (erforderlich, geheim); legen Sie sie in der Konfiguration des Clients für diesen Server fest.
