How to connect OwnPG
OwnPG runs locally from a Rust crate published to crates.io: ownpg version 0.1.2. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs the Rust toolchain; cargo install builds the program. It reads these environment variables: OWNPG_HOST, OWNPG_PORT, OWNPG_USER and OWNPG_PASSWORD (secret); set them in the client's configuration for this server. Required arguments: --database.
OwnPG runs locally from an MCP Bundle: a single downloadable archive holding a local server and a manifest that describes it: https://github.com/devops-infinity/ownpg-releases/releases/download/v0.1.2/ownpg-0.1.2-darwin-arm64.mcpb version 0.1.2. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs a client that installs MCP Bundles; the file is opened in, or added to, that client.
