How to connect Obsidian Sync MCP
Obsidian Sync MCP runs locally from a Node.js package published to the npm registry: obsidian-sync-mcp version 0.5.2. The package starts a local server that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP; the client then connects to it by URL. It reads these environment variables: VAULT_PATH, COUCHDB_URL, COUCHDB_USER, COUCHDB_PASSWORD (secret), COUCHDB_DATABASE, COUCHDB_PASSPHRASE (secret), COUCHDB_OBFUSCATE_PROPERTIES, VAULT_NAME, MCP_AUTH_TOKEN (secret), BASE_URL and PORT; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
