How to connect Greptimedb MCP Server
Greptimedb MCP Server runs locally from a Python package published to PyPI: greptimedb-mcp-server version 0.6.0. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Python; clients usually start it with uvx (from uv) or after pip install — the usual command is uvx greptimedb-mcp-server. It reads these environment variables: GREPTIMEDB_HOST, GREPTIMEDB_PORT, GREPTIMEDB_USER, GREPTIMEDB_PASSWORD (secret), GREPTIMEDB_DATABASE, GREPTIMEDB_TIMEZONE, GREPTIMEDB_POOL_SIZE, GREPTIMEDB_HTTP_PORT, GREPTIMEDB_HTTP_PROTOCOL, GREPTIMEDB_MASK_ENABLED, GREPTIMEDB_MASK_PATTERNS, GREPTIMEDB_AUDIT_ENABLED and GREPTIMEDB_ALLOW_WRITE; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
