How to connect SSH Fleet
SSH Fleet runs locally from a container image in an OCI registry such as Docker Hub or GitHub Container Registry: ghcr.io/inhuman/mcp-ssh-fleet:0.1.5. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Docker or another OCI container runtime; started with docker run — the usual command is docker run -i --rm -e SSH_FLEET_TRANSPORT -e SSH_FLEET_CMD_TIMEOUT_SECONDS -e SSH_FLEET_OUTPUT_CAP_BYTES -e SSH_FLEET_PROBE_CONCURRENCY -e SSH_FLEET_PROBE_MAX_HOSTS -e SSH_FLEET_AUTH_TOKEN ghcr.io/inhuman/mcp-ssh-fleet:0.1.5. It reads these environment variables: SSH_FLEET_TRANSPORT, SSH_FLEET_CMD_TIMEOUT_SECONDS, SSH_FLEET_OUTPUT_CAP_BYTES, SSH_FLEET_PROBE_CONCURRENCY, SSH_FLEET_PROBE_MAX_HOSTS and SSH_FLEET_AUTH_TOKEN (secret); set them in the client's configuration for this server. Required arguments: -v and -v.
In the mcpServers JSON format that many desktop and editor MCP clients read, the entry looks like this (placeholders in angle brackets):
