How to connect Mikrotik MCP
Mikrotik MCP runs locally from a Python package published to PyPI: mcp-server-mikrotik version 0.24.0.0. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Python; clients usually start it with uvx (from uv) or after pip install — the usual command is uvx mcp-server-mikrotik. It reads these environment variables: MIKROTIK_HOST, MIKROTIK_USERNAME, MIKROTIK_PASSWORD (secret), MIKROTIK_PORT, MIKROTIK_KEY_FILENAME, MIKROTIK_READ_ONLY, MIKROTIK_SENSITIVE_HIDING, MIKROTIK_INVENTORY_FILE and MIKROTIK_INVENTORY (secret); set them in the client's configuration for this server.
