How to connect Lagaam
Lagaam runs locally from a Python package published to PyPI: lagaam version 0.2.4. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Python; clients usually start it with uvx (from uv) or after pip install — the usual command is uvx lagaam. It reads these environment variables: LAGAAM_ALLOWED_TABLES (required), LAGAAM_ALLOW_ALL_TABLES, LAGAAM_ENGINE, TRINO_HOST, TRINO_PORT, TRINO_USER, PINOT_CONTROLLER_URL, PINOT_BROKER_URL, PINOT_USER, PINOT_PASSWORD (secret), LAGAAM_AGENT_NAME, LAGAAM_MAX_SCAN_BYTES, LAGAAM_MAX_ROWS, LAGAAM_MAX_INTERMEDIATE_ROWS, LAGAAM_MAX_RETURNED_ROWS, LAGAAM_QUERY_TIMEOUT, LAGAAM_METADATA_TTL and LAGAAM_AUDIT_LOG; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
