How to connect WinCtl
WinCtl runs locally from a Node.js package published to the npm registry: @sitharaj88/winctl version 1.0.2. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Node.js; clients usually start it with npx — the usual command is npx -y @sitharaj88/winctl@1.0.2. It reads these environment variables: WINCTL_PROFILE, WINCTL_TIERS, WINCTL_ALLOWED_PATHS, WINCTL_CONFIRM_DESTRUCTIVE, WINCTL_AUDIT_LOG and WINCTL_MAX_IMAGE_WIDTH; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
WinCtl runs locally from an MCP Bundle: a single downloadable archive holding a local server and a manifest that describes it: https://github.com/sitharaj88/winctl/releases/download/v1.0.2/winctl.mcpb version 1.0.2. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs a client that installs MCP Bundles; the file is opened in, or added to, that client. It reads the environment variable WINCTL_PROFILE; set it in the client's configuration for this server.
