Figma MCP

Figma MCP runs locally from a Node.js package published to the npm registry: @scalably-io/figma-mcp version 1.0.1. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Node.js; clients usually start it with npx — the usual command is npx -y @scalably-io/figma-mcp@1.0.1. It reads these environment variables: FIGMA_TOKEN (required, secret), FIGMA_API_BASE_URL, FIGMA_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS, FIGMA_MAX_JSON_BYTES, FIGMA_MAX_FRAME_BYTES, FIGMA_OUTPUT_ROOT and FIGMA_ALLOW_HTTP_FOR_TESTS; set them in the client's configuration for this server.

Figma MCP runs locally from an MCP Bundle: a single downloadable archive holding a local server and a manifest that describes it: https://github.com/scalably-io/figma-mcp/releases/download/v1.0.1/figma-mcp.mcpb. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs a client that installs MCP Bundles; the file is opened in, or added to, that client.
