How to connect Oura Ring
Oura Ring runs locally from a Python package published to PyPI: my-oura-mcp version 0.4.2. It speaks MCP over stdio, so the client starts it as a program and talks to it through standard input and output. It needs Python; clients usually start it with uvx (from uv) or after pip install — the usual command is uvx my-oura-mcp. It reads these environment variables: OURA_CLIENT_ID, OURA_CLIENT_SECRET (secret), OURA_REDIRECT_URI, OURA_API_MODE, OURA_TZ, OURA_TOKEN_STORE, OURA_PUBLIC_URL and OURA_OAUTH_ALLOWED_REDIRECT_ORIGINS; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
Oura Ring runs locally from a container image in an OCI registry such as Docker Hub or GitHub Container Registry: docker.io/iican/oura-mcp:0.4.2. The package starts a local server that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP; the client then connects to it by URL. It reads these environment variables: OURA_MCP_TOKEN (required, secret), OURA_PUBLIC_URL, OURA_OAUTH_ALLOWED_REDIRECT_ORIGINS, OURA_CLIENT_ID, OURA_CLIENT_SECRET (secret) and OURA_TZ; set them in the client's configuration for this server.
